Max Porzig

Max Porzig (born October 13, 1865 in Serba or Hohenkirchen , † August 6, 1910 in Leipzig ) was a German judge and politician.

Life

Max Porzig was the son of a manorial landlord in Hohenkirchen , then in the Zeitz district . He attended the Friedrichgymnasium (Altenburg) . After graduating from high school, he began studying law at the University of Jena and continued it in 1887 at the Georg-August University of Göttingen . He completed his studies with the doctorate to Dr. jur. from. He struck the judge's career and became a judge at the higher regional court in Jena , later at the Reichsgericht in Leipzig as a member of the III. Civil Senate . In Jena he was one of the founding members of the Jena Art Association in 1903 . From 1904 to 1907 he was a conservative member of the Reichstag .

As a student he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Jena and Hannovera Göttingen . For the SC zu Göttingen as a suburb of the KSCV , he headed the congress in Kösen during the three-year- old .

His son was the philologist Walter Porzig .
