Max Spallek (born August 15, 1968 in Salzgitter-Bad ) is a German radio presenter of the public radio station Radio Eins .

Life

Spallek grew up in Berlin's Tempelhof district . After studying architecture, an apprenticeship as a carpenter and two less successful record releases, he worked for years at the youth radio Fritz des RBB (formerly ORB ). For Fritz he developed the broadcasting concept Pop Agents . Despite initial skepticism, the broadcaster accepted the experiment. In this program, only music from young research groups from Berlin and Brandenburg was played, where the audience could vote by telephone. There was a participation of 1500 listeners per broadcast. Among other things, the pop agents contributed to the breakthrough of the MIA music groups . and we are heroes .

In 2006 Spallek was nominated Radio Journalist of the Year for the Golden Prometheus Media Prize and was called the “savior of all Berlin's young bands”.

From 2006 to 2016 Spallek worked for the radio station Flux FM , where he moderated the programs international espionage and Flux FM in the afternoon .

Since May 2016 he has been working for the public broadcaster Radio Eins , where he and Sonja Koppitz present the afternoon program “The beautiful week”.

Others

In addition to radio activities, Spallek and radio colleagues sold art from Shanghai in a “gallery” in a laundromat in Berlin.
