Max J. Steinberg (born July 9, 1988 in Washington, DC ) is a professional American poker player . He is nicknamed Mighty Max .
Poker career
Steinberg started playing poker in 2005 with his twin brother Daniel. Steinberg has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2008 .
In May 2008, Steinberg took second place at the main event of the Latin American Poker Tour in San José for prize money of just under 150,000 US dollars . In June 2010 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successfully and reached at a tournament of the variant No-Limit Hold'em final table. There he finished second behind the Canadian Pascal Lefrançois for around $ 350,000. At the 2012 WSOP , Steinberg won the 33rd event and received a bracelet in addition to the prize money of $ 440,000 . At the end of August 2012, he reached the final table at the main event of the World Poker Tour in Los Angeles and landed in second place for almost $ 300,000 in prize money. At the 2013 WSOP, Steinberg cashed five times and came to two final tables for prize money of almost $ 350,000. In July 2015 , he reached the final table of the WSOP main event with the fifth-largest stack, which was played in November 2015. There Steinberg took fourth place and received prize money of more than $ 2.5 million.
In total, Steinberg has earned more than $ 4.5 million in poker in live tournaments.
