Max from Pape

Max Pape , von Pape since 1913 (born September 12, 1851 in Berlin ; † November 9, 1926 there ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

He was the son of the theater and landscape painter Eduard Pape (1817-1905) and his wife Dorothee Wilhelmine, née Schultz, and was baptized on November 14, 1851 in St. Matthew's Church in Berlin. On June 16, 1913, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II , Pape was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility .

Pape married on October 16, 1886 in Berlin Gertraudt Hennicke (born November 11, 1863 in Berlin; † December 13, 1942 there), the daughter of the Grand Admiralty Wilhelm Woldemar Hennicke and Anina (Anna) Bergmann. The couple had three daughters.

Max von Pape died in Berlin in 1926 at the age of 75. He was buried in Cemetery II of the Jerusalem and New Church in Berlin-Kreuzberg . The grave has not been preserved.
