At the beginning of the 2009/2010 season, Zwetkow took part in a single-seater race in the World Cup for the only time, which he finished in 25th position. Maxim Zwetkow and Denis Moissejew celebrated their greatest success so far at the 2011 European Junior Championships in Laas , when they became European Junior Champions by setting the fastest time in the second race ahead of the Austrians Christoph Regensburger and Dominik Holzknecht , who were still in the lead after the first run.

In the 2011/2012 season, Zwetkow / Moissejew did not contest a World Cup race, but took part in the 2012 European Championship in Novouralsk - their first title fight in the general class. They took ninth place out of ten double-seater pairs.
