Maxim Nikolajewitsch Bez ( Russian Максим Николаевич Бец ; born January 31, 1974 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League during his active career .
Career
Maxim Bez began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with HK Traktor Chelyabinsk , for which he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 1991/92 season . He then moved to the Spokane Chiefs , for whom he spent the following two years in the Canadian top junior league Western Hockey League . During this period he was also in the NHL Entry Draft 1993 in the second round as a total of 37th player from the St. Louis Blues , who gave the attacker on March 21, 1994 to their league rivals Mighty Ducks of Anaheim , for whom he played in three games remained unpunished and punished. In the following two seasons, the left-shooter was on the ice for Anaheim's farm teams , the Worcester IceCats and Baltimore Bandits from the American Hockey League , the San Diego Gulls from the International Hockey League and the Raleigh IceCaps from the East Coast Hockey League .
In the summer of 1996, Bez returned to his Russian homeland, where he spent the following six years for one season each with the first division clubs HK CSKA Moscow , HK Traktor Chelyabinsk , HK Metschel Chelyabinsk , HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , again Metschel Chelyabinsk and finally Severstal Cherepovets in the Superliga was active, where he won the European Hockey League with Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the 1999/2000 season after he prevailed in the final with his team against HC Sparta Prague from the Czech Extraliga . In the 2002/03 season, the Russian played for Molot-Prikamje Perm and Krylya Sowetow Moscow in the super league. The former NHL player then returned to HK Metschel Chelyabinsk, who had since been relegated to the second-rate Vysschaya League . The 2005/06 season he ended, however, with their city rival tractor Chelyabinsk, with whom he won promotion to the Super League. The left shooter moved to the Kazakh champion Kasachmys Satpajew in the summer of 2006 , with whom he took part in the 2006/07 season in the Vysschaya League and the Kazakh ice hockey championship and became the Kazakh Cup winner . The 2007/08 season Bez spent again at Metschel Chelyabinsk in the Wysschaja Liga, before he was committed in the summer of 2008 by their league rivals Gazprom-OGU Orenburg , completed two seasons for the two seasons and then ended his career.
