Maxim Wiktorowitsch Rybalko ( Russian: Максим Викторович Рыбалко ; born September 16, 1986 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with CSM Dunărea Galați since 2019 . His twin brother Mikhail is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Maxim Rybalko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Dynamo Moscow , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2003 to 2005 . For the 2005/06 season, the defender moved to Kristall Saratow in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, but left the club again after two games and joined its league rivals Kapitan Stupino , for whom he played the following two years. The 2007/08 season spent the right-handed shooter at HK Lada Tolyatti , for whom he was on the ice in eleven games in the Super League . The rest of the time he spent, however, with their second team in the Pervaya League, so that he spent the following season with Krylja Sowetow Moscow in the Wysschaja Liga.

Rybalko has been under contract with Amur Khabarovsk in the Continental Hockey League since the 2009/10 season . In his first year at the KHL, he remained pointless in 29 games and received 16 penalty minutes. Since the 2010/11 season he has been on the ice for Jermak Angarsk in the new Russian second division, the Wysschaja Hockey League .
