Maximilian Güll (born January 5, 1995 in Duisburg ) is a German soccer player . He is under contract with the first division club 1. FC Bocholt . Before that, Güll was active in the Hamborn district of Duisburg for the Post SV Siegfried Hamborn , for the MSV Duisburg , KFC Uerdingen 05 and Schwarz-Weiß Essen .

Club career

Youth (until 2013)

Güll began playing football in his childhood at Post SV Siegfried Hamborn , from where he moved to the youth department of MSV Duisburg , which had been promoted to the Bundesliga in 2005, at the age of ten . There he went through the various ages. In 2012, the previous left midfielder was retrained to become a left-back. In the same year he moved up to the A-youth (U-19) and competed with them in the Bundesliga for this age group, where he became a regular within the team despite injury problems. At the same time, he obtained his Abitur in spring 2013.

Entry into the senior sector (from 2013)

In the run-up to the 2013/14 season , the second division license was withdrawn from MSV Duisburg, which resulted in the forced relegation to the third highest division . The then 18-year-old Güll was still part of the A youth team, but was already in the professional squad for the first game of the season on July 20, 2013. In the encounter against 1. FC Heidenheim (0: 1) he was substituted on nine minutes before the end of the game, making his professional debut. He then received match practice both in the youth, in the third division and in the fifth class second team of the MSV . At the end of the first half of the season he was even in the starting line-up a few times. At the same time as his football career, he began studying math and physics at the University of Duisburg-Essen .

Also in the second half of the 2013/14 season he belonged to both the youth and the third division squad, but could not yet fight for a permanent place in this. For the following season 2014/15 Güll signed a contract with league rivals Borussia Dortmund II . In the second representation of the reigning German runner-up Borussia Dortmund, he saw a high sporting perspective for himself, but was initially unable to assert himself as a regular player. Therefore, in the course of his first year, he was only six times in the starting XI after twelve considerations. Since his team was third from bottom of the table, he had to accept relegation to the Regionalliga West in 2015 . In August 2016, the upper division KFC Uerdingen announced Güll's commitment. After winning the championship, however, Güll remained in the league and moved to black and white Essen , where he was only rarely used due to an injury. For the 2018/19 season he moved to 1. FC Bocholt .

National team

After he had already made regular appearances in the third division as an A-youth, he first came into focus for the DFB's youth teams at the age of 19. On September 7, 2014, he ran 0-0 against Switzerland for the German U-20 selection . However, this was not followed by any further considerations in the national jersey.
