Maximilian Ritscher (born January 11, 1994 in Lienz ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .

Career

As a player

society

Ritscher began his career at ASKÖ Dellach / Drau in Carinthia . In 2002 he switched to ASKÖ Irschen for one season before returning to Dellach im Drautal . In 2008 he went on to the youth department of SK Austria Kärnten , before returning to his home club after its bankruptcy. At that time, Ritscher mainly played games in the Carinthian academy selection.

In 2011 he moved to the first team of ATSV Wolfsberg in the Carinthian League, the fourth highest Austrian division, where he came on two missions. Then it went one step higher and the central defender was active for an autumn season at SAK Klagenfurt in the Regionalliga Mitte. He made his debut on March 24, 2012 against DSV Leoben , when he came on for Helmut König in the 77th minute. The home game was lost 0-2. After eight more appearances and one goal, the Bundesliga promoted Wolfsberger AC became aware of Ritscher.

He then moved to Wolfsberg and made his debut in the top Austrian league against FC Red Bull Salzburg on April 20, 2013 , when he came on for Manuel Kerhe in the 77th minute . The game in Wals-Siezenheim was lost 6-2. For the 2015/16 season Ritscher moved to Kapfenberger SV .

After the 2016/17 season he left Kapfenberg. He then moved to the regional league team LASK Juniors OÖ , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd division in 2018 . After the 2017/18 season, he ended his career at the age of 24.

National team

Internationally, he played a game for the Austrian U-18 team against the selection from Switzerland . He came at halftime on October 12, 2011 and suffered a 2-1 defeat in Zurich .

As a trainer

After the end of his career, he became assistant coach of the U-16 team at AKA Linz for the 2018/19 season , and from the 2019/20 season he also acted as an analyst for the U-18 team.
