Maximus Air Cargo ( Arabic ماکسیموس ایر کارگو) is a cargo airline from the United Arab Emirates based in Abu Dhabi and based at Abu Dhabi Airport .

history

Maximus Air Cargo was founded in 2005 and claims to be the largest pure cargo airline in the Middle East . In 2011 she founded the subsidiary Maximus Airlines Ukraine with the same headquarters in Abu Dhabi , but with a Ukrainian flight license. In June 2013, Maximus Air decided the fleet of five Airbus A300-600 - cargo aircraft shut down because they could no longer operate economically them. All contracts that were realized with this type of aircraft have also been terminated. Most of these aircraft were used on cargo flights for Etihad Crystal Cargo and DHL Aviation . Since then, the operational flight business has been carried out exclusively through the subsidiary Maximus Airlines Ukraine.
