The film was produced by BZ-Film (Dr. Linsert) Berlin. It had a length of six files at 2153 and 2070 meters, which corresponds to about 118 and 113 minutes. The exterior shots were shot in Grünwald .
It was censored in October 1918. The Berlin police imposed a youth ban on him (No. 42512). The re-censorship of the Reich film censorship of June 9, 1921 led to the same result (No. 2596).
Although filmed and censored in 1918, it was not premiered until 1919 in the Marble House in Berlin.
