Mbizana ( English Mbizana Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Alfred Nzo district of the Eastern Cape province of South Africa . The seat of the municipal administration is in Bizana . Mayor is Daniswa Mafumbatha.

The community name is an isiXhosa term for "small pot". The coastal zone is part of the Wild Coast and the historic Pondoland landscape .

Well-known citizens who were born here are Oliver Tambo and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela .
