MeTalkPretty
MeTalkPretty , also known as Me Talk Pretty or MTP for short , is an American rock band from New York . The band was founded in 2006 by Iulia Preotu (lead vocals), Leon Lyazidi (guitar, keyboard) and James Kluz (drums). Nate Meng (bass) joined the band in 2008 and Guerin Blask (drums) in 2010.
The debut EP RUBY , produced and mixed by Arun Vankatesh, was released independently (without a label) in 2008. After hundreds of local and regional appearances and concerts, Me Talk Pretty brought their concerts to the national stages in several appearances at the Vans Warped Tour in 2008 and 2009, the SXSW Music Conference and CMJ Music Conference.
After generating a lot of interest with RUBY, the band wrote and released a three-song demo produced by Arun Vankatesh and mixed by Mike Plotnikoff.
On September 11, 2009, MeTalkPretty won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Breakout Band NYC. Shortly thereafter, on October 4th, 2009, the band began recording their debut album with Noah Shain. On February 1, 2010, the band announced on their Facebook page that they are now under contract with Eight O Five Records / Fontana Distribution / Universal Music Group and that their debut album entitled "We Are Strangers" has been completed.

The band recently confirmed their first headlining tour entitled The Wake Up! Tou . Me Talk Pretty are going on tour with Madina Lake , Hell or Highwater and New Years Day. The tour started on November 26th, 2011. The first part of the tour was planned until December 22nd, 2011. Further tour dates from January 2012 were planned.
