Taproot ( Engl. : Taproot ) is an American band that mostly the genre nu metal and post-grunge is assigned. The group is from Ann Arbor , Michigan .
history
The band was offered a recording contract with his label Interscope Records soon after the founding of Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst . However, the contract did not materialize and Taproot released their debut album Gift 2000 on Atlantic Records . The work reached the Billboard 200 , in which it came to number 160.
With the second album Welcome , which was released in 2002, the band made their breakthrough in the mainstream with a top 20 placement in the US charts.
In August 2005 the album Blue-Sky Research was released . The band has worked with Billy Corgan , Jonah Matranga and Stephen Carpenter ( Deftones ) and created a total of over 80 song ideas.
In summer 2006 the group separated from their label. In September 2008 the Velvet Hammer Music and Management Group released the newest album - Our Long Road Home .
Shortly after Our Long Road Home was released , drummer and founding member Jarrod Montague announced his departure. He was replaced by the band's longtime friend Nick Fredell.
In May 2010 the album Plead the Fifth was released . The first video was Fractured (Everything I Said Was True) . In 2012, her last album to date, The Episodes, was presented.
