Meddy Lina (born November 1, 1986 in Les Abymes , Guadeloupe ) is a French football player .

Club career

Lina played in his homeland Guadeloupe until 2009 and then moved to the second division OC Vannes in the French metropolitan area at the age of 22 . For this he made his professional debut when he was used on August 30 of the same year in the fifth game of the season against Le Havre AC over the full length of the game. After he played for the team for over 90 minutes in the two following games, he only played one of the remaining games of the season. In the following two years he did not make the jump back to the first team, not even after their relegation in summer 2011. Lina signed for the 2012/13 season with SM Caen , where he was only scheduled for the second selection from the start . He came to the fourth division team on regular assignments until he found a new employer in January 2013 in the third division AS Cherbourg . In Cherbourg he became a regular player, but already turned his back on the club in the following summer break to join league rivals ES Uzès Pont du Gard . In this he was part of the first team, but rose to fourth division in 2014 and initially remained without a club after his contract expired at the same time. In October of the same year he was signed by AS Béziers and rose to the third division with this in 2015.

Selection team

Before moving to metropolitan France, Lina was appointed to Guadeloupe's football team for the first time in 2008. First he was used in friendly and qualifying matches for the CONCACAF association . A year after his debut, he was appointed to the squad for the 2009 Gold Cup , the regional association's most important tournament. In the course of the tournament he only ran in the 0: 2 against Mexico, but was used over the full length. His team was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Lina took part in two further international matches in 2010 and was part of the team for three consecutive matches in 2014 after a four-year break.
