Mehrzad Montazeri
Mehrzad Montazeri (* before 1977 in Tehran ) is an Iranian-Austrian opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Montazeri comes from Iran, has lived in Austria since 1977 and is an Austrian citizen. He studied at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, at the Vienna University of Music and voice training, and at the Vienna Conservatory with Waldemar Kmentt . After completing his studies, he worked for the United Theaters in Vienna, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the United Theaters in Krefeld a. Mönchengladbach and the Mörbisch Seefestspiele. Then he worked as a freelancer. In addition to his singing career he occupied later on Franz Schubert Conservatory Vienna a diploma degree in singing and received the teaching qualification for universities, conservatories and academies in instrumental and vocal pedagogy. After completing his bachelor's degree, he graduated with a master's degree.
Montazeri has been a member of the Volksoper Vienna ensemble since 2004 .
He has made guest appearances at the Stuttgart State Opera , the Stadttheater Luzern , the Staatstheater Cottbus , the Stadttheater Bern , in Paris at the Opera National De Paris (Bastille), in Florence at the Teatro Communale di Firenze: where he performed Pedrillo under the direction of Zubin Mehta There was great success - alongside Kurt Rydl as Osmin, Theater Erfurt, Deutsche Oper am Rhein: Düsseldorf, Eutin Summer Games, Stadttheater Baden, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Tiroler Landestheater.
Tours and concert tours have taken him to Germany, Italy, Russia, Japan, Korea and the USA, among others.
He has been President of the Vienna Robert Stolz Society since 2017.
He is married and has his residence in Enzersfeld near Vienna.
