The Meißner Haus ( also Meissner Haus ) is an Alpine Club hut at an altitude of 1707 m above sea level. A. (according to own information 1720 m ) in the Tux Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol .
The refuge of the Category I is located on the east side of the Patscherkofel in the rear Viggartal within the community elbows and heard Section Ebersberg - Grafing of the German Alpine Club .
history
The Meißner Haus, located near the Patscherkofel, was built in 1926 by the Meißen section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club . After the end of the Second World War, the Alpine Club Hut was administered by the Innsbruck Section of the Austrian Alpine Club . In 1968 the Bavarian DAV section Ebersberg-Grafing took over the hut and acquired it in 1973.
Accesses
- Follow the Viggarbach from the Mühltal car park ( 1039 m ), walking time approx. Two hours
- From the Oberellbögen car park ( 1150 m ) follow a signposted forest path, walking time approx. Two and a half hours (also possible with a mountain bike, driving time approx. 1 hour)
- From Igls with the Patscherkofelbahn to the Patscherkofel mountain station ( 1950 m ), from there via Boscheben and a steep path, walking time approx. One and a half hours
Summits and tours
The Meißner Haus serves as a base for climbing several peaks such as B. the Kreuzspitze , the Glungezer , the Morgenkogel , the Viggarspitze and the Patscherkofel.
Crossings are possible to the Glungezerhütte , the Lizumerhütte and the Peeralm .
