Meidling , also Meidling im Tal , is a place and a cadastral municipality of the market town of Paudorf in Lower Austria.
The village is located south of Paudorf in a side valley of the Fladnitzbach . In Meidling Castle , which was first mentioned in 1182 and originally belonged to the Archdiocese of Salzburg , there were numerous changes of ownership and in the 14th / 15th centuries. The facility is likely to have fallen into disrepair in the 19th century. The castle was given its current appearance by the Abbot Gottfried Bessel from Göttweig .
Today the place consists on the one hand of several farmsteads in front of the castle and on the other hand of a settlement on the opposite slope.
