Meik Tischler (born February 27, 1967 in Halle ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .

Career

The striker Meik Carpenter began his career with the Spvg Steinhagen . In the B-youth he moved to the Steinhagener club TSV Amshausen and in 1987 moved back to the fourth division for the association league team Spvg Steinhagen. After two successful years, in which he was, among other things, top scorer in the association league, he moved to the third-class league club FC Gütersloh . In the first round of the 1989/90 DFB Cup , Tischler scored the goal of the day in the Gütersloh replay at the then second division team Hertha BSC in the Olympiastadion Berlin . At the end of the season , the Gütersloher relegated to the association league despite ex-professionals such as Helmut Schröder and Rüdiger Abramczik .

Tischler then switched to the second division club Eintracht Braunschweig .
