The milestone near Dohndorf is a small monument in the city of Köthen (Anhalt) in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The place Dohndorf is on the connection from Köthen to Könnern , today's L 148 . West of Dohndorf, near the Hohendohndorf suburb, is the 92 centimeter high distance indicator made of gray sandstone at the intersection of the Gerlebogk –Dohndorf and Cörmigk - Gröbzig road sections . His inscriptions show the Anhalt round base stone as a marker at a junction of the main connection Dessau – Köthen – Bernburg – Harz, because they read “I mile from Coethen” and “IV miles from Dessau”. A part of the inscription is unfortunately weathered and possibly represents a later added kilometer indication. Stones with this inscription can also be found in Kleinpaschleben , near Gröbzig , in Görzig and near Piethen , which makes it clear that we are dealing with a complete road network here. There used to be a marker at the intersection to the west of the distance indicator.

The milestone is under monument protection and bears the registration number 094 06136 in the monument register , where it is registered as a monument . It is on the north side of the street on the corridor border to Cörmigk and thus actually belongs to the Salzland district, but is always listed under Dohndorf. The age of the Anhalt milestones has not yet been definitively determined. The oldest documented mention dates back to 1853. Less than 25 years later, the measure of length, a Anhalt and a Prussian mile corresponding to 7.532 kilometers, was changed to kilometers.
