action
Tony is a successful lawyer. After a serious knee injury in a skiing accident, she is admitted to a rehabilitation clinic. A therapist asks her to think about the causes of her injury. As a result, Tony remembers her eventful relationship with Georgio. She had first met Georgio while working as a waitress to earn money for her studies. A few years later she meets him again in a nightclub. Georgio invites Tony, her brother and his girlfriend to breakfast in his apartment. Tony and Georgio quickly become friends and after Tony becomes pregnant the two marry.
Georgios' previous relationship with Agnès and his addiction are increasingly burdening their relationship. Georgio takes an apartment across the street and Tony starts drug therapy for heightened depression. After attempting suicide, she wants to get a divorce. Georgio is initially opposed to a divorce because he doesn't want to accept that he can only see his son Simbad every other weekend. Eventually the divorce took place and the two continued to see each other regularly.
criticism
The film service wrote: “With brilliant, sparkling dialogues and a pushing, but at the same time sensitive staging, the outstanding leading actors are able to elicit moments of great emotional power from the well-known subject of an increasingly (self-) destructive love story. In this way, dramaturgical weaknesses and stereotypes in the figure drawing are largely absorbed. In the last third, however, the great actor drama loses its intensity due to elongated scenes. "
