MDR Schlagerwelt is a digitally broadcast radio program of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR). The program wants to "bundle German-language music and hits trimedially". It is thus part of the trimedial offer for those interested in Schlager, Meine Schlagerwelt , which also includes the television program of the same name and the Internet offer . News from MDR Aktuell is taken over on the hour . Regional news from MDR Saxony , MDR Saxony-Anhalt or MDR Thuringia are sent every half hour, depending on the federal state .

The moderators on MDR Schlagerwelt include Brigitte Mayer, Andreas Kallwitz, Holger-Ralf Ehrhardt, Stephan Burghardt, Felix Träder, Gerald Lerch and Klaus Schräder-Grau. The program is moderated Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the hits from over six decades, the Schlager ABC , which can also be heard in the NDR plus program, is an integral part .

Since October 16, 2017, MDR Schlagerwelt and Bayern plus have been broadcasting a joint program at night. "Die Schlagernacht von BR and MDR" has since been heard in both Schlager programs from 10pm to 6am.

Since October 21, 2017, MDR Schlagerwelt has been taking over the "German Schlager Parade" from Bayern Plus. Presenter Harry Blaha welcomes pop stars, introduces new releases and presents the ten most popular hits of the week.

Since November 1, 2018, the program "Herzliche Grüße", hosted by Gerald Lerch, has been broadcast daily between 12 noon and 1 pm and from 7 pm to 8 pm.
