action

The brothers Dragon and Tiger are orphans and completely different. They both learn Kung Fu in the same school , but while the younger Dragon is obedient, Tiger secretly works for another school. For this school, Tiger even frees a serious criminal.

In order to save his brother from jail, Dragon decides to arrest the criminal again on his own, which he succeeds after a long struggle with all his kung fu techniques. However, Dragon couldn't save Tiger from death and so there is no happy ending. In some versions these sections are cut out.

criticism

"Action film with imaginative fights and a tough finale."

Remarks

  • Highlights of the film are an extended lion dance, fights with fans, a torero-like fight in women's clothes and the 20-minute final fight.
  • The film is Jackie Chan's third directorial work and also his first work for Golden Harvest .
  • For an acrobatic sequence with one fan, he needed 329 settings to be satisfied himself.
  • Jackie Chan suffered a broken nose while filming and a serious neck injury that nearly suffocated him.
  • Together with the films Masters of All Classes 2 (English Spiritual Kung Fu , shot 1978) and Masters of all Classes 3 (also Two Fists ... stronger than Bruce Lee , English New Fist of Fury , shot 1976), the film seems to be a trilogy to build. However, apart from the genre and the main actor, these works have nothing in common. In addition, the apparent sequels were filmed before the first part.
