Melchior Ernst von Creytzen

Melchior Ernst von Creytzen , also Kreytzen (* May 20, 1627 , † April 19, 1692 in Königberg ) was a Brandenburg-Prussian lawyer and diplomat.

Life

Origin and family

Melchior Ernst von Creytzen was a member of the Prussian line Grand Peisten of the noble family von Creytzen . His parents were the Prussian heir to Kapsitten , Polkitten , Gertlack and Schreitlack , Georg von Creytzen (1601-1651) and Dorothea, née von Schlieben († 1653). In 1655 he married Elisabeth Luise von Lehndorff (1636–1711) with whom he had the sons Johann Albrecht († 1720), 1701 Prussian Count and Georg Ernst († 1737), captain of Tilsit and Sehesten († 1737).

Career

Creytzen was appointed Real Privy Councilor on June 19, 1677 and at the same time a Prussian court judge, district and tribunal councilor. Because of Brandenburg's lending transactions with Draheim , Lauenburg and Bütow , he was sent to the Polish court as an envoy . He was also president of the court and heir on Kapsitten.
