Melchior Weissenhagen
Melchior Weißenhagen (born May 20, 1849 in Ershausen ; † November 9, 1905 in Monheim ) was a Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Weißenhagen attended the high school in Heiligenstadt (Eichsfeld) and studied philosophy and theology at the Gregoriana from 1869 to 1875. From 1875 he was active in pastoral care in the diocese of Eichstätt , first as a chaplain , from 1884 as a pastor . Most recently he was pastor in Monheim.
From 1898 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Schwaben 2 constituency ( Donauwörth , Nördlingen , Neuburg ) and the German Center Party . In 1905 he was also a brief member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
