Melissa Wu (born May 3, 1992 in Penrith ) is an Australian water diver who starts from the ten-meter tower and won medals at World Championships, Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games. She is 1.52 meters tall and weighs 50 kilograms. Melissa Wu's father comes from the People's Republic of China.

At the age of 13, Wu was part of the Australian team at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne . There she won the silver medal in synchronized jumping together with Alexandra Croak . In the individual competition, Melissa Wu reached fifth place. With these successes, Wu received more attention for the first time. The following year she took part in the 2007 World Swimming Championships , which were also held in Melbourne. In the dubbing competition, Wu and Briony Cole took second place from the tower, in the singles she reached the finals and ultimately finished eleventh. Melissa Wu was part of the Australian team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , where she was the youngest member. There she started together with Briony Cole in the dubbing competition from the tower. The two won the silver medal after not doing worse than the third-best jump in any round. Melissa Wu was the youngest Australian medalist in diving. In the individual, Wu was able to reach sixth place after she was able to qualify as eighth of the preliminary fight and the semifinals. At the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi , she won her first individual medal with silver from the tower, and with Cole she also won gold in the tower synchronous competition. At the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai , she won the silver medal with Croak.
