Mensch is a song by the German rock musician Herbert Grönemeyer . The song was released on August 5, 2002 under his own label Grönland Records as the first single from his eleventh studio album Mensch . This was written by Grönemeyer and Alex Silva.
The song was written at the time when Grönemeyer had withdrawn from the public due to his family blows. The song reflects the experience of real loss and grief, it also pays homage to the positive, social characteristics of people, the ability to empathize, to keep going, not to let themselves get down.
