Schiffsverkehr is the thirteenth studio album by the German musician Herbert Grönemeyer . Just a few days after its release on March 18, 2011, the album reached the top of the German, Austrian and Swiss album charts.

Emergence

The song So wie ich was written by Grönemeyer's bassist Norbert Hamm, who had already written the song alcohol on the album 4630 Bochum . Michael Ebert wrote for your time and for Let's not rain it was Arezu Weitholz, who was also responsible for the song Spur on the previous album 12 .

Grönemeyer wanted November to be on the CD, but couldn't find a suitable and coherent position in the track list, which is why he decided to place it as a hidden track at the end of the album.

The song Your Time was written by Herbert Grönemeyer with reference to his mother Hella 's Alzheimer's disease .

Music genre

With the album, Grönemeyer concluded a phase of mourning on the previous albums. The album was seen as a return to German rock and the 1980s.
