The Merzelfeldgraben is a right tributary of the Augrabens near Gunzenhausen - Aha in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The Merzelfeldgraben rises in a forest area west of Edersfeld not far from the federal highway 466 and south of the Wurmbacher Berg at an altitude of 456 m above sea level. NHN . The stream leaves the forest and from then on constantly crosses a wide open landscape in the Altmühl valley . It flows through Edersfeld and passes under the Treuchtlingen – Würzburg railway line . It then flows through Aha and passes under the district road WUG 27 and the federal road 13 . The Merzelfeldgraben flows after a run of around 3.0 kilometers at an altitude of around 412 m above sea level. NHN northeast of Aha from the right into the Augraben , which is only half as long here , which flows less than 200 meters further into a loop of the Altmühl .
