history

"Metoil" was established on December 6, 2004 in Kalnėnai Village , Jonava District . The seat was then moved to Vilnius ( Naujamiestis district ). However, the legal address always remained in the Jonava district. There was a Švenčionėliai department in the Švenčionys district municipality .

In 2010 the company became a petroleum product loading terminal operator and started shipping in the port city of Klaipėda . The national authorities had indications that "Metoil" was able to hide around 10 million litas (EUR 3 million) in taxes. "Metoil" sold oil products (mainly diesel) not only in Lithuania, but also abroad (in Belarus , Ukraine , Russia , Uzbekistan and in the EU countries). In 2006, the company acquired an oil terminal in Kalnėnai . "Metoil" exported the fuels to Poland, Latvia and Slovakia. Huge amounts of diesel fuel were transported and sold abroad. However, the actual buyers remained unknown. In the opinion of tax inspectors ( Valstybinė mokesčių inspekcija ), buyers in these countries could be fictitious. The excise duty, sales tax and other taxes could possibly remain for the company. The test was carried out in close cooperation with the three EU countries and was carried out in Poland, Latvia and Slovakia.
