The Meyerhöfener Wasserzug is a 1.7 kilometer long right tributary of the Aue , a sand-shaped lowland stream in the municipality of Visbek in the Lower Saxony district of Vechta .
Geography and appearance
The Meyerhöfener Wasserzug has its source on the Weser-Ems watershed , near a wooded area in the corridor Die alten Rien , north of the Meyerhöfen hamlet , in the Visbeker peasantry Halter / Meyerhöfen . From there it flows almost in a straight line in a north-north-westerly direction towards the floodplain, initially crossing a damp valley in its upper course, before flowing parallel and west of the Meierhofsche Moor corridor through a natural alluvial forest in its lower course to the mouth . The Meyerhöfener Wasserzug flows into the upper reaches of the floodplain without having left the area of the Halter / Meyerhöfen farmers .
The Meyerhöfener Wasserzug belongs to the nature reserve Bäken der Endeler and Holzhauser Heide along its entire length .
