The Route nationale 9 (No. 9) is a 382 km long National Highway in the southwest of Madagascar in the provinces Atsimo-Andrefana and Menabe . It begins in Toliara (Tuléar) as an extension of the RN 7 and runs via Ifaty , past Lake Ihotry and on via Manja and Mandabe to the RN 35 at Mahabo . A junction to the coastal town of Morombe is labeled RN 55 . The first 107 km from Toliara were made as an asphalt road between 2013 and 2018, the rest of the route is unpaved and difficult to pass in the rainy season.
