Mezzolago is a fraction of the Italian commune ( comune ) Ledro in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-Alto Adige .
geography
The place is about 35 kilometers southwest of Trento in Val di Ledro on the north bank of Lake Ledro on an alluvial cone at the end of the Val di Dromaè side valley at 665 m asl . The SS 240 Loppio - Val di Ledro passes by the place. To the east of Mezzolago lies the inlet structure of the Ponale power plant designed by Giancarlo Maroni in Riva del Garda .
history
Mezzolago was an independent municipality until the fascist municipal reform in 1927 and was attached to the municipality of Molina di Ledro in 1928 . In the same year Gabriele D'Annunzio stayed in Mezzolago when he stayed as a guest in Count Ugolini's villa on March 18, 1928, when the intake structure was pierced. In 1955 Mezzolago was incorporated into the Pieve di Ledro municipality.
