Michael David Pfeifer
Michael David Pfeifer OMI (born May 18, 1937 in Alamo ) is an American clergyman and emeritus bishop of San Angelo .
Life
Michael David Pfeifer joined the congregation of the Huenfeld Oblates in 1958 and was ordained a priest on December 21, 1964 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of San Angelo on May 31, 1985. He was ordained episcopate on August 26th of the same year by the Archbishop of San Antonio , Patrick Fernández Flores ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Anthony Fiorenza , Bishop of Galveston-Houston , and John Joseph Fitzpatrick , Bishop of Brownsville .
On December 12, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
