Michael Goldenberg

Michael Goldenberg (born 1965 in the USA ) is an American screenwriter and director .

Life

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University , he wrote the screenplay for the drama The Bed of Roses starring Mary Stuart Masterson and Christian Slater , which he also directed. He was then involved in the script of the film Contact by Robert Zemeckis , which promptly earned him a nomination for the Saturn Award in the Best Writer category with his colleague James V. Hart . He co-adapted the children's film Peter Pan by director PJ Hogan in 2003 .

Goldenberg was hired by Warner Bros. in 2004 to write the scenario for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix . In 2008 he was nominated for the Saturn Award for his performance, but could not win again. Most recently he wrote the screenplay Green Lantern, which will be made into a film by Martin Campbell .
