Michael H. Buchholz
Michael H. Buchholz (* 12. March 1957 in Hannover , † 6. March 2017 ) was a German personality coach and science fiction - author . As the latter, Buchholz mainly wrote novels about the fictional person Atlan in the Perry-Rhodan series. He wrote a number of fantasy novels under the pseudonym Robert M. Talmar .
Life
Buchholz graduated from high school in Hanover and worked in a wide variety of professions, including as a graphic designer and layouter. He also studied business administration and corporate strategy. After working as an educational advisor in business, he opened a so-called personality development institute called MindFrame for mental training in Hanover, where he also lived with his family. From 1993, he led seminars for business executives and private individuals as a personality trainer.
He had wanted to become a writer since early childhood. Karl May and JRR Tolkien were among his literary models at the time . Together with childhood friend Rüdiger Schäfer he began to write fan novels for Perry Rhodan . This later enabled him to enter the series. The beginnings of his later "Gilwenzeit" novels also lie in this time. After a serious cancer illness, which seemed to be overcome in 2015, he gave up his profession as a personality trainer and only worked as a freelance writer.
He suffered cancer recurrence in March 2017.
