The Dreispitz is a mountain range south of Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland . It lies between the rear Suldtal and the Spiggengrund .
The peaks of the massif lie on an approx. 4 km long ridge. This begins in the west at Höchst, a ridge shoulder at 2100 m, and extends from there to east-northeast over the rock bulwark (a rock head at approx. 2430 m) to 2520, 1 m high main summit and on to Latrejespitz at approx. 2430 m. From there, the ridge continues north-northeast over the First (2440 m) to Witliflue, the final shoulder of the ridge at 1968 m. In the northwest, another ridge leads down to the Renggpass and on to the Wätterlatte .
The name of the mountain comes from the three- cornered hat shape that its summit is reminiscent of. There is no hiking trail leading to the summit, but it is accessible in a demanding mountain hike.
