Michael Haussner

Michael Haußner (born July 16, 1954 in Augsburg ) is a German lawyer and political official. From 2007 to 2009 he was State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Justice.

Life

Haussner went to school in Augsburg and Munich , where he graduated from high school in 1973 in Munich. After completing his military service, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU) from 1975 to 1980 . He passed the state law exams in July 1980 and May 1983. He then became an assistant at LMU and then went to Fukuoka (Japan) as an exchange assistant .

In 1984 he was appointed judge on probation and in 1986 public prosecutor in Munich. After working as a university professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Bavaria in Starnberg (1988–1991), Haußner became a judge at the district court in Munich. Public prosecutor since 1994, he was seconded to the public prosecutor's office in Erfurt in 1996 and as a political official to the Thuringian Ministry of Justice and European Affairs in 1998 . He then returned to Munich, where he became a judge at the district court in 1999 and a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court in 2002 . In June 2005 he was appointed Public Prosecutor General in Thuringia.

In June 2007, Haussner was appointed State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Justice . In the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , he entered a hopeless place on the CDU state list. As a result of the election, the Ministry of Justice went to the SPD , Dietmar Herz replaced Haußner as State Secretary for Justice. He was a lecturer at the law faculty of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena .

From the beginning of 2011 in July 2013 he worked first on behalf of the German Society for International Cooperation , then the IRZ Foundation as an advisor to the Croatian Ministry of Justice in Zagreb .

Since November 2013 he has been working in the same position in the Montenegrin Ministry of Justice in Podgorica .

Private

Haussner is married and has two children. The painter and graphic artist Christoph Haußner is a younger brother.

He is a member of the Catholic student association KStV Ottonia Munich.
