Sir Michael Hugh Morgan C MG (1978) ( April 18, 1925 - December 4, 2012 ) was a British diplomat .

Life

Michael Hugh Morgan studied at Shrewsbury School, Downing College , at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London .

Michael Hugh Morgan served in the British Army from 1943 to 1946 . In 1946 he was employed by Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service in Malaysia . On September 3, 1956, he joined the Foreign Service. In 1957 he married Julian Veronica Bamfield. You have a son. In October 1957, he became first-class embassy secretary in Beijing . In 1960 he was employed in the embassy in Belgrade . From April 13 to September 1964 he was seconded to Leyland Motors . In September 1975 he became Home Inspector of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). From 1977 to 1981 he was ambassador to Manila . From April 1981 to 1985 he was High Commissioner (Commonwealth) in Freetown , Sierra Leone .
