Michael Jung (born April 13, 1951 in Würzburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

After graduating from the Fürst-Johann-Ludwig-Schule in Hadamar and completing his military service , Michael Jung studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . There he became a member of the Catholic student association VKDSt. Hasso-Rhenania Gießen in the CV . In 1977 he passed his first state examination in law and in 1980 his second state examination. From 1980 he was a lawyer in a law firm, since 1983 he has worked as a freelance lawyer in Limburg .

Political party

Michael Jung was the local and district chairman of the Junge Union. In 1969 he became a member of the CDU. For many years he was deputy district chairman of the CDU Limburg-Weilburg. From 1989 to 1997 he held the office of chairman of the CDU district association in West Hesse.

During his student days he was committed to the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) and was its state chairman in Hesse. He was also a member of the university committees of the student self-administration and the Justus Liebig University in Giessen .

MP

From 1972 to 1995 he was a member of the district council and also chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Limburg-Weilburg district .

In the 1987 federal election , he was elected to succeed Benno Erhard for the Rheingau-Taunus-Limburg constituency for the CDU in the German Bundestag and was a member of this until 1998. He was a full member of the Committee on Transport, Committee on Tourism and Tourism and an alternate member of the Committee on Post and Telecommunications.
