Michael Kessel (born August 28, 1984 ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In 2003, Kessel moved from Höhenhaus to FC Junkersdorf. He played in the Oberliga Nordrhein , before moving to league rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach II in 2005 . He rose in his first season 2005/06 to the regional league . After the team's direct relegation, he went to FC Germania Dattenfeld, today's TSV Germania Windeck . He won the Middle Rhine Cup with the club three times (2009, 2010 and 2011) .

After Windeck renounced promotion to the Regionalliga in 2011 and withdrew the team, he moved to SC Fortuna Köln , who was allowed to move up to the Regionalliga West as third in the table due to the withdrawal of Windeck. With Fortuna Köln he won the Middle Rhine Cup again in 2013 and rose to the 3rd league in the 2013/14 season . After eight years with Fortuna, five of them in the 3rd division, Kessel ended his professional career for the time being after the 2018/19 season .

In the 2019/20 season he switched to SpVg, which had just been promoted to the state league. Porz .
