biography

After graduating from school, he worked as a salesman for some time. At 17 he played for the NWoBHM band Holosade , who signed a record deal with an independent label and released an album called Hell House . Shortly afterwards the band broke up.

In 1989 Michael Lee joined the Little Angels , replacing founding member Dave Hopper. He released with them the EP Too Posh to Mosh (1988), the debut album Don't Prey for Me (1989) and the successor Young Gods (1991). He had to leave the band after the 1991 tour when it was revealed that he had secretly auditioned for The Cult . At The Cult he only stayed for a single ( The Witch , 1992) and a soundtrack contribution for Buffy - The Vampire Killer . He was then fired along with the rest of the backing band from Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy . He then took part in both Page & Plant albums and as a session drummer.

Michael Lee had several engagements with Echo & The Bunnymen , Jeff Martin (ex- The Tea Party ), Ian Gillan and Thin Lizzy . He died on November 24, 2008 of an epileptic fit .
