Michael McElhatton

Michael McElhatton / mək elˈhætn / (born September 12, 1963 in Terenure , Ireland ) is an Irish actor and screenwriter .

life and career

McElhatton played his first role in the short film The Looser in 1990. He subsequently starred in a number of films, for example Paddy Breathnach's Sooner or later from 2001, John Crowley's Intermission from 2003 or Spin the Bottle from 2004 by Ian Fitzgibbon , with whom McElhatton also wrote the script. He also had several roles in television productions, for example in Paths to Freedom , Ripper Street and Game of Thrones , in which he played the role of Roose Bolton . In addition to Spin the Bottle , he also wrote scripts for the series Paths to Freedom , Fergus's Wedding and Your Bad Self . In 2014 he starred alongside Joseph Mawle , Bojana Novaković and Michael Smiley in a leading role in the film The Hallow .
