Michael Oelkuch (born February 5, 1973 in Harelbeke , Belgium ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Oelkuch played in his youth at TSG Salach and at 1. FC Eislingen and at SC Geislingen , for whom he played first games in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg from 1990 onwards . In 1993 he moved to league rivals VfL Kirchheim / Teck . After two years, the Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart signed him .

He played his first Bundesliga game on September 2, 1995 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In his first season he was used eleven times and scored one goal. With VfB he won the DFB Cup in 1997, but without a commitment . In the following season he was used only once and he moved in the same year first to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and then to the amateurs of FC Bayern Munich . There he was able to win any more than the Belgian first division club KRC Harelbeke , so he said in which in November 1998 Regional Northeast gambling 1. FC Union Berlin joined. In 19 games he scored seven goals for the Unioner.

In 1999 he moved to second division SV Waldhof Mannheim for half a year . He only played one game there and switched to Rot-Weiss Essen during the winter break . After only one year he moved on again, this time to the Regionalliga Süd for VfR Aalen . In the second half of the 2000/01 season he was used 13 times and scored one goal.

For the 2001/02 season he joined the Fortuna Cologne team in the Regionalliga Nord and was finally able to fight for a regular place. He was used in 33 of 34 point games and scored six goals. Despite the regular place, he returned to the Regionalliga Süd at the end of the season.

He stayed at 1. FC Saarbrücken for two and a half years. During this time he was used in the 1st and 2nd team of Saarbrücken. In the Regionalliga Süd he was used 40 times in two seasons and once in the DFB Cup competition; In 2004 he rose with the team in the 2nd division. Here, however, he no longer played for Saarbrücken and in December 2004 moved to the second team of Werder Bremen . In the Regionalliga Nord he was used here 13 times.

In 2005 he returned to Waldhof Mannheim for one season and in 2006 moved to the lower class SG Sonnenhof Großaspach for six months to end his career here.

Oelkuch played a total of 12 games in the Bundesliga (1 goal), one game in the 2nd division and 155 games in the regional leagues (33 goals).

From 2010 he was coach of the TSGV Rechberg district league team in Württemberg and junior coach at 1. FC Eislingen / Fils . Since 2013 he has been coaching the Württemberg regional league A club TSG Salach .
