classification

As a contemporary of the composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Franz Schubert and Ludwig van Beethoven , Michael Pamer is referred to as the early father of the Viennese waltz .

style

Elements of traditional folk music can still be found in his early compositions . His late work includes the formal structure of the great waltz, consisting of a thematic introduction , a series of several waltzes and a concluding coda.
