Michael Watzke

Michael Watzke (born April 12, 1973 in Lennep , a district of Remscheid ) is a German radio journalist , screenwriter , director and state correspondent Bavaria for Deutschlandfunk (DLF) from Munich .

Life

Watzke attended the Roentgen-Gymnasium Remscheid-Lennep and wrote for the local school newspaper “Die Waage” and as a freelance reporter for the Rheinische Post as well as for the regional studio Wuppertal of the WDR . In 1993 he attended the German School of Journalism . Watzke studied politics and communication science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and in Washington, DC at the American University . In 2002 he became chief reporter at Antenne Bayern . In 2005 he visited the script workshop in Munich . In 2010 he moved to the DLF and became a state correspondent there.

He is a member of the sponsorship group of the German School of Journalism and sponsor of Akaflieg Munich.

He is the author and co-author of more than 30 broadcasts of the daily magazine “ Background” in the DLF.
