Mikhail Wassiljewitsch Pridanzew
Mikhail Wassiljewitsch Pridanzew ( Russian Михаил Васильевич Приданцев ; * 1903 , † 1984 ) was a Russian metallurgist .
Life
Pridanzew studied at the Chemistry - Faculty of the Moscow Institute of Technology (MWTU) with completion in 1929. Since 1927 he worked as a laboratory assistant in Moscow metallurgical plant Elektrostal . There he finally became head of the central laboratory. His scientific investigations into invar alloys , for example , were also noticed abroad.
In 1940 Pridanzew became head of the heat treatment laboratory and deputy director of the Institute for Quality Steels of the Moscow Central Research Institute for Steel Metallurgy (ZNIITschM, since 1960 Central Bard - Research Institute for Steel Metallurgy). 1957–1962 he headed the Laboratory for Steel and Alloys in the Moscow Baikov Institute for Metallurgy and Materials Science of the AN-SSSR. In 1962 he became director of the Institute for Quality Steels and in 1967 deputy director of the Institute for New Metallurgy Technology at the ZNIITschM.
Pridanzew's field of work was the entire metallurgy of steels. The focus was on the influence of alloying elements on the properties and effects of thermomechanical treatments and high-strength austenitic steels.
Honors
- Stalin Prize 2nd class (1941) for the development of new steels
- Stalin Prize III. Class (1943) for the development of a new process for the production of ammunition with less non-ferrous metal .
- Medal "For heroic work in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945"
- Stalin Prize, 1st class (1949) for the development of a heat-resistant steel
