Michel Camicas

Michel Camicas (born August 17, 1933 in Antioch , Syria , † December 12, 2018 in Paris ) was a French jazz musician ( trombone , composition ).

Live and act

Camicas began his career with Bernard Daurat in 1952, before joining Maxim Saury's orchestra a little later . In the following years he played in the orchestras of Claude Bolling , Claude Tissendier , Gérard Badini , Gérard Raingo and Jacques Denjean . Furthermore he belonged to the ensemble The Four Bones around Raymond Fonsèque , u. a. with François Guin , Claude Gousset , Luis Fuentes , Chuck Connors . In the field of jazz he was involved in 61 recording sessions between 1955 and 2001, according to Tom Lord . a. also with Jacky Milliet , Claude Tissendier and most recently with Poumi Arnaud & Christian Azzi Jazz Clan. He was also active as a composer ("Marylebone").
