Miguel Ángel Martín Prieto (born January 29, 1970 in Madrid ) is a Spanish beach volleyball player .

Career

Prieto played his first international tournament in Almería with Manuel Segura Berenguel and reached the top ten in ninth place. He achieved the same result in 1994 in Rio de Janeiro with Sixto Jiménez and in Marseille with Segura. For the first tournament in Rio in 1995 he again competed with Jiménez and this time came in 13th place. Then he formed a new duo with José Javier Yuste Muñiz . In Clearwater , Yuste / Prieto achieved their first joint top ten result as fifth. The same result came for them in La Baule . They finished ninth in Tenerife and Carolina . Also in ninth place they finished the first tournament in 1996 in Rio de Janeiro. After that they did not get past 13th place. Nevertheless, Yuste / Prieto qualified for the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they lost their first game against the Czechs Palinek / Pakosta and were eliminated in the loser round with a defeat against the Portuguese Maia / Brenha . After the Olympic tournament they played the Grand Slams in Pornichet and Espinho , in which they finished 13th and 17th. Prieto made his last appearance at the tournament in Tenerife, where he finished 25th with Sergio Miguel Camarero .
