José Javier Yuste Muñiz (born December 14, 1971 in Talavera de la Reina ) is a Spanish beach volleyball player .

Career

Yuste played his first international tournament in 1991 in Yokohama with Manuel Segura Berenguel and came in seventh straight into the top ten. In the other two tournaments with Segura he reached 13th place in Almería and 17th place in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro . He then played three open tournaments with Santi Aguilera Sabine and was seventh in Enoshima and 17th twice in Lignano and Rio. In 1995 he came in ninth place with Javier Bosma in the Brazilian metropolis . Then he formed a new duo with Miguel Ángel Martín Prieto . In Clearwater , Yuste / Prieto achieved their first joint top ten result as fifth. The same result came for them in La Baule . They finished ninth in Tenerife and Carolina . Also in ninth place they finished the first tournament in 1996 in Rio de Janeiro. After that they did not get past 13th place. Nevertheless, Yuste / Prieto qualified for the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they lost their first game against the Czechs Palinek / Pakosta and were eliminated in the losing round with a defeat against the Portuguese Maia / Brenha . After the Olympic tournament they played the Grand Slams in Pornichet and Espinho , in which they finished 13th and 17th. Yuste had his last appearance at the tournament in Tenerife with Ruben Barba .
